"We wanted to highlight the importance of the youth, emphasizing that age, ethnicity, or background doesn't matter. All children have interesting and insightful ideas and things to say. Youth today often create simple solutions to issues that older generations have struggled with for years. They continue to do so every day. I believe they shouldn’t be left out of conversations concerning the future because they themselves are the future."

"The children and youth of New Orleans are not broken or damaged. We can rise above circumstances and have the ability to define our own path. We are beautiful. We believe in our healing, our restoration, and our future."

About The Artist

Born in New Orleans and raised on the West Bank, art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was intrigued by the concept of creating things that weren’t there before. As I got older, I transitioned from pencil and crayon to acrylic and canvas, sculpting, and fashion design.
